A Covid-19 Survivor’s Journey
My COVID-19 story
My family and I are fortunate and grateful to be COVID-19 survivors. When my tests came positive, I didn’t panic & coped with the situation by doing following things daily-
• I took proper medication and followed everything that my doctor asked me to do meticulously.
• I decided to stay virtually connected to my loved ones twice a day for their love and moral support.
• I stayed resilient with a positive attitude.
I came out much stronger and it felt like having won a war. However all that I could think during the quarantine period in isolation was about my little son. Things around his health, happiness and his future security.
This situation made me realise how uncertain life can be. Hence, I decided to do something to ensure my family’s future safety. I discussed this with my husband and he suggested that we take a term plan.
While researching on the net, we came across ICICI Pru Life’s iProtect Smart Term Plan which protects my son’s future financially by offering a comprehensive life cover giving a 360-degree financial safety.
It includes an optional critical illness rider which covers 34 illnesses and provides upfront money on diagnosis without the need for medical bills. It covers COVID-19 life claims too. It is truly an “all-in-one” term plan that provides a financial safety net to an individual and their loved ones. Now I am fully assured about my child’s safety.
Our Life insurance policies cover COVID-19 claims under life insurance claims, subject to applicable terms and conditions of policy contract and extant regulatory framework. COVID-19 is not included in Critical Illness benefit covered under IProtect Smart.
